19th Century Renovations
Two antique stone mantels, provided from the Hawaiian owner’s personal collection, form the centerpieces of this large private island home. Moberg’s team of stone masons and artisans carefully restored these mantels and helped select firedogs, fenders, and firebacks indicative of the period. Behind the scenes, a thoroughly modern program of insulated steel supports, electronically controlled gas systems and quiet draft inducement ensures safety and spill-free operations for decades to come, even in the warm Pacific sun.
