Classical Mountain Home

A challenging architectural conundrum faced Robert A.M. Stern Architects during the design of this Lutyens-inspired mountain home: the creation of a signature, roaring fireplace just beneath a Juliet Balcony at the upper floor. Our solution: dual flues, with an injection air system that silently exhausts the large volume of air necessary to sustain the robust fire the clients sought. A custom natural gas Moberg Lodge Series Grating supplies tall flames and projects a feeling of warmth throughout the home.

Your mastery of the technical issues of fireplaces have given us the freedom to fill with warmth and light the houses we’ve worked on together, and I know you will unlock their mysteries as no one else can.
